MLD is a leader in the development and validation of mass spectrometry-based assays. Our full-service laboratory is located within a secured area of the Atrium Building at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, and our world-class team of highly experienced analytical scientists can develop custom tandem mass spectrometry quantitative methods for any small molecule target analytes. Whether it is a drug, drug product(s), herbicides, pesticides, circulating metabolites, or any other small molecule, there are few targets that are beyond our reach. Each project begins with the research and develop of an appropriate extraction methodology that yields high recovery. We then introduce and test appropriate internal standards, followed by preliminary verification of method parameters such as linearity, limits of detection and quantification, accuracy, precision, matrix effects, and more. We then take the method through a formal validation process following the FDA’s Bioanalytical Method Guidelines.
